Shao Hsing Hua Tiao Chiew is a well-known traditional speciality and the oldest brewed wines in China. It is brewed from pure grain and contains low alcohol content. In Chinese medicine it used for "improving blood circulation, complexion and appetite" In the kitchen, it is used as a flavoring and is said to "expell the fishy flavor" of seafood.
